Customs Agency provides the opportunity to the economic operators to request inspection of goods, measurement, determination of type and quantity, transshipment or other loading-unloading activities under customs control, including:

• inspection of goods to determine their type and quantity; inspection of seals to establish the intactness of the identification measures, due to change of the prescribed itinerary;
   
• sealing, when the seal is broken during transportation for reasons beyond the control of the carrier;
   
• inspection when the goods must be transshipped to other means of transport, in case of partial or complete unloading of the means of transport, or due to any event, accident or incident, which may affect the observance of the obligations by the principal or the carrier;
   
• weight measurement of cargo vehicles;
   
• loading and unloading with forklift truck;
   
• sampling of goods for analysis.

To use this service you need to file:

• Application form.
• Transport and commercial documents accompanying the goods.

* In case the application form is not filed personally by you; you will need notarized power of attorney.

You will receive the test results as follows:

• at the administrative service desk.
• through postal courier services, to your correspondence address;
• through postal courier services, to other address;

Terms: There is no statutory term for the service.

Fee:

You do not have to pay fee when the inspection is performed on the territory of the customs authority during working time.

In the other cases:

• Weight measurement of cargo vehicles:
  • for the total weight of the vehicle – 10.00 BGN
  • for axle load – 5.00 BGN for each axle
  • for loading-unloading activities with forklift truck – 10.00 BGN for every started hour.
     
• Sampling of goods:
  • Products of vegetable and animal origin:
    • Frozen products from refrigerated units and storages – 25.00 BGN
    • Fresh or chilled goods – 25.00 BGN
    • Goods in consumer packing and cans – 15.00 BGN 
  •  Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages:
    • of a capacity not exceeding 100 liters (bottles, casks, barrels, etc.) – 20.00 BGN;
    • of a capacity exceeding 100 liters (railroad and truck tanks) – 80.00 BGN;
    • of ship tanks – 100.00 BGN;
  • Tobacco, tobacco products and tobacco substitutes – 15.00 BGN;
  • Fats, oils and waxes – 25.00 BGN;
  • Petroleum products and mineral products:
    • Liquids – of a capacity not exceeding 100 liters (bottles, casks, barrels, etc.) – 25.00 BGN;
    • Liquids – of a capacity exceeding 100 liters (railroad and truck tanks) – 80.00 BGN;
    • Of ship tanks – 100.00 BGN;
    • Bulk products – of capacity not exceeding 0.5 m3 – 20.00 BGN;
    • Bulk products – of capacity exceeding 0.5 m3 – 70.00 BGN;
  • Products of the chemical or allied industries:
    • Liquids – of a capacity not exceeding 100 liters (bottles, casks, barrels, etc.) – 30.00 BGN;
